Meet Connie Harris, the new outreach coordinator at Indy Gateway and Merchants West. Connie spent 16 years as the executive director of the Speedway Chamber of Commerce. As the director, Connie was a part of the redevelopment of Main Street in Speedway. In addition, she increased the chamber’s membership and expanded its community outreach, business development, and programs and events.
As outreach coordinator for Indy Gateway, Connie will coordinate special events, increase volunteer involvement, and spearhead Merchants West, which is the West Washington Street Merchants Association. Connie’s goal is to personally meet as many west side businesses as possible and learn about their companies and create initiatives that will enhance businesses and look at new ways to partner.
